There are those that think upmarket, trendy, and overpriced food joints are usually disappointing. Totos seems to bear that out.

Set in the hip Seefeld neighborhood of Zurich, Totos has the same owner as Iroquis and Bohemia. But the success of the last, particularly as a brunch hangout, does not seem to have carried over here. The interiors are bright and welcoming with a separate section for newspaper lovers, but it is hardly cosy; the food is good, but not much to write home about. In short, there is nothing striking about Totos - the food is average as is the ambiance. But you pay for the privelige of being in Seefeld, surrounded by well dressed people - perhaps too well dressed for a lazy Saturday or Sunday. This could be anywhere.
