Blunt is popular slang for a “huge marijuana joint,” as in, “we smoked a blunt.” This piece of wisdom was granted to me at Maison Blunt, which is for addicts of a different kind…those looking for a haven of dress down reality in an otherwise trendy, collared-up city of gnomes. Tearoom Blunt has it all - tons of chattering people, oversized tables, worn couches, and dollops of character. This is an all-season place, but most popular for Sunday brunch - possibly too popular for its own good. But there’s a reason for it - Blunt has something not many places can offer - a huge variety of delicious food - from Moroccan humus to Swiss cheese to British style eggs. A tad too popular for its own good, so not a place to relax. But if you do find a seat, don’t forget the Chai Maison or the sheesha in the evenings.
